What I Learnt

RUS 104, Studio works, I have spent more than half of my time of semester  one in it. Drawing is not just use a pencil and draw on a paper. Bubble diagram, perspective drawing, blueprint… These were the new things for me. I have learnt so many skills either in individual work or group work. Not only the drawing skills, but the communication skill, time management and the planning skills. I used to stay overnight at studio, spend a lot of money to buy the materials and stationery… It let me imagine that how is my future gonna be. I appreciate all the things that all the studio masters gave, all the comments, all the critics, all the praises… These are the things that made me improve and made me grow up.

Exhibition Photos

When I saw this exhibition, I had a feeling... I felt so gratified of it. I was so happy that most of my projects were at the exhibition. It just means that all the hard times that i went through are worth. And I have no regret of it.

HBP LIFE

These are some photos and memories of my HBP life!!! I am glad that  I can got in to USM and taking interior design course in HBP. I am not alone with my ID coursemates and all my HBP schoolmates.

Project 10 : Exhibition

It came fast and went fast... In 2 days time, we have to complete this exhibition and my group was given a special task, that is in charged in main banner, audio-visual equipment and exhibition background slide. Fortunately, the exhibition is sucessful! I couldn't believe that we all able to come out with this beautiful and colourful exhibition. That was HBP spirit!
This is the Wishes Tree at our stage. So many people wrote their wishes there. Just hope that their wishes will really come true.

Project 9 : Integrated Project

This was the biggest studio project in this semester. We are asked to design a Batu Ferringhi Information Centre. Detail site analysis presentation drawing, design proposal, a report of development proposal and conceptual model. We couldn't close our mouth when we got this project... So many things we need to do in three week time. Group work never a easy work. A full co-operation is needed in such a project...
Board 1, site analysis.
Board 2, conceptual sketches, bubble diagram, proposed site plan, exterior views.
Board 3, blueprint, interior views.
Board 4, materials selections, building services.

Project 8 : (RE) Visited

These are some attractive photos that I captured when we went to Batu Ferringhi for site analysis.

8A, community facility and tourism activities. We have learned how to do a site analysis in public places. We had to be observant all the time. And  we had discussed the uniqueness of Batu Ferringhi.
8B, environment and spatial analysis. Not only the circulation, vegetation, buffer zone and pollutions, we have identified the type of building along the Batu Ferringhi. This was my first time went to a seaside area but not to play but doing my assignment there.

Project 7 : Interlinked

7A, analysis of HBP spaces. This was my first time knew about site analysis. That was not easy. Sun orientation, wind, all the plans, circulation and so on... Don't think that group work is easier than individual work. I have went through it, it wasn't easier.
Our concept for the skyway - Holding hands of the buildings. It just like two buildings work together to form a skyway so that pedestrians have a easier to walk through it.
Modern was one of our concepts. From the comments from studio masters, we have forgotten the air circulation of the skyway. It teaches me that not only the design is important, but we need to concern so many aspects that more important than the design. To be a designer, I will bear in mind of that.
